Furniture threaded inserts
Self-tapping threaded inserts for flat-pack furniture, moulded at volume with consistent thread form and pull-out strength.
The brief
A furniture brand needed millions of small inserts a month with a thread that bites reliably into board and holds a repeatable pull-out force — a part where tiny, drifting dimensions cause field failures and returns.
What we made
We moulded the inserts in POM on a multi-cavity tool with tight process control on the thread and flange, sampled pull-out strength per lot, and bulk-packed to the customer's line-side kanban. Reject rates stay below their inbound AQL.
