Industrial cooling-fan impeller
A glass-filled impeller for an industrial cooling fan, moulded for stiffness and run-out and dynamically balanced before despatch.
The brief
A rotating impeller has to stay stiff and true at speed — any warp or uneven wall shows up as vibration and noise. The customer needed a moulded blade set that would hold balance without a secondary machining step.
What we made
We moulded the impeller in glass-filled PBT with a gate and cooling layout tuned to keep the blades true, then verified run-out and dynamic balance on sampled parts. The result meets the vibration spec straight from the tool.
